The conference is SOLD OUT and registration is now CLOSED. Due to space limitations on campus, total conference registration is limited to 200 participants. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you are a speaker at the conference, you do NOT need to register.
If you are a Cal Poly SLO student, faculty member, or staff member you must register at the following site only: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/CCAPC2013CPReg
The conference takes place on the campus of California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly), San Luis Obispo. Thursday (1/31) morning sessions take place in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) Pavilion Room. After that all sessions, meals, and events will take place in the KTGY Gallery (Bldg 21, Rm 105A&B) and the Berg Gallery (Bldg 5, Rm 105). Click here for campus maps.
If arriving by car, enter on Grand Ave. and park in the parking garage in front of the Performing Arts Center (PAC). The cost is $5 per day and can be paid at self-serve kiosks that take $1 and $5 bills and credit cards (kiosks located in front of the PAC and on Level 2 of the Parking Garage by the elevators). If arriving by bus, disembark at the PAC stop. If arriving by bicycle, there is plentiful bike parking around the PAC. For more transportation information, download the travel information handout.
We recommend several hotels.
San Luis Obispo airport (SBP) is served by United Airlines and US Airways.
San Luis Obispo is served by Amtrak with routes to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Attendees should be aware that the conference takes place on campus while the university is in session. Students will be everywhere! In addition, Cal Poly does not have conference facilities so we are using several large classrooms, galleries, and event spaces for the sessions. These are on different parts of campus so some walking and navigating will be required. We will supply you with a good map and post students to help you get around. You should bring an umbrella or rain gear to travel between venues. We encourage you to get in the college spirit and reminisce about the good ol’ days. Friday is “college spirit” day and we encourage you to wear your alma mater’s attire. Go team!
