The Community Safety and Sustainability Group (CSSG) at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) provides planning and research services on natural hazard mitigation & community safety planning. The CSSG is housed in the nationallyranked City & Regional Planning Department and draws faculty from all over the Cal Poly campus. Its mission is to promote disaster-resilient community development through applied research and policy guidance.
