What is the vote about?
In the spring of 2002 CAED students voted on a new College Based Fee (CBF). This $200 fee was approved by a majority of voting students (indexed for inflation, it is now $216 per quarter). On May 10 and 11, 2005, CRP students are being asked to give President Baker an advisory vote on continuing the fee at the present level or lowering it by half. Please vote to retain the present fee level. There are many reasons for you to do so. Read all of Bill's memo

Student College Based Fee
to support university-wide projects that address

  1) Education quality,

  2) Student learning and progress toward
      degree completion

  3) Institutional productivity

  4) Accountability and assessment

You are paying a special fee that goes directly to your own department this is called the College Based Fee.

In the fall of 2002, students in the college voted in a $200 per quarter fee. This fee increase and the incremental revenue generated is allocated to exclusively support the degree programs, faculty, staff, and students in individual departments. The allocation of these incremental funds is based on consultative process between deans, faculty, and students within their respective college.
